Who we are
Fixus Law is a law firm based at 8140 Asmara Street, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. This notice explains how we handle personal information submitted through this website.
For the purposes of this website, the firm is the controller of the personal information described below.
What we collect through this website
When you complete the enquiry form, we collect the following information:
- Your full name.
- Your email address.
- Your telephone number, if you choose to provide it.
- The practice area your enquiry relates to.
- The description of your enquiry that you write in the form.
What we ask you not to send
The enquiry form is an initial contact point only. Please do not send confidential documents, identity documents, contracts, bank details, medical information or other sensitive material through it.
Confidentiality does not attach to information sent before the firm accepts your matter, and submitting an enquiry does not create a lawyer-client relationship.
How enquiries are stored and who can see them
Enquiries submitted through this website are stored in the firm's private records system and are not accessible from the public website. Access is restricted to authorised firm personnel: the stored records contain no public link and cannot be read by other visitors to the site.
We do not sell, rent or publish enquiry information, and we do not use it for marketing unrelated to your enquiry.
How long we keep enquiries
We keep enquiry records only for as long as they are needed for the purpose they were collected: to assess and respond to your enquiry, and to maintain a record of who contacted the firm and when. Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted when they are no longer needed.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set advertising cookies, and we do not run third-party advertising or behavioural tracking on it. The site is served by our hosting platform, which may process technical data such as your IP address and browser type in order to deliver the pages and protect the service against abuse.
Your choices
You may ask us to correct or delete the information you submitted through the enquiry form, or ask what we hold about you. Write to us by post at the firm's office address, setting out what you would like us to do, and we will respond.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice if the way we handle enquiries changes. The version published on this page is the version that applies.
This notice is provided for the Fixus Law website. It is not legal advice and should be reviewed by the firm before publication if the firm's information-handling practices change.
